Agricultural Diagnostic Field Visit – Karattupatti
An Agricultural Diagnostic Field Visit was conducted at Karattupatti village in the Kadamalaikundu Block of Theni District to provide practical agricultural support to local farmers. The field visit focused particularly on brinjal cultivation, allowing agricultural experts to directly examine crop conditions and identify problems affecting production. During the visit, issues including excessive pesticide usage and water scarcity were identified in the agricultural fields. Suitable recommendations were provided to farmers to improve crop management and address these challenges. Experts also explained the application and usage of biological control methods for brinjal cultivation. Field-level programmes such as this help farmers receive direct technical guidance at their farms rather than relying only on classroom-based agricultural training.
